With years of guiding experience, through MeetUp Groups, UC Davis Outdoor Adventures, and personal guiding, my passion is in helping others "stretch" themselves by experiencing things they might not otherwise experience. Through these organized events, my goal is to provide a safe environment for ladies of all experience levels to learn new things and grow. I meet each participant where they are at and believe we all have a unique badassery waiting to be discovered. Intermediate Day Hike: Sierra Buttes Lookout Tower

Skill Level: Intermediate/Advanced
Together we will explore this 12.5 mile out and back trail and I will be experiencing it for the first time with you. Per All Trails, “this is generally considered a challenging route taking an average of 7 hours 21 minutes.” We will travel through the Tahoe National Forest on some rocky terrain to the top which stands at 8587 feet and gives us views down to upper/lower Sardine Lakes, the surrounding Sierra Buttes and many miles of Tahoe National Forest.
We will filter water at Tamarack Lake on our way past each way at about 3.5 and 8.8 miles. Participants should still plan to carry 3 liters of water.
I am not a “fast” hiker, and my pace will be that which is necessary to ensure the safety and enjoyment of the slowest person in the group. Participants must be comfortable with that concept as I am about compassion, teamwork, support and a “tribe” mentality.
Trail Details:
- Distance: 12.5 miles
- Elevation Gain: 3572 Ft
- Terrain: Rocky with incline
- Water: Be prepared to carry 3 liters.
- Headlamps: All participants must carry a headlamp in case we are returning in the dark

- The fee covers my time, experience and guidance.

- I will provide a snack treat at the top.
What is not included:
- Transportation
- Lunch/snacks
Participants will meet at 7:45am. The exact meeting location and further details will be provided in a group email to those who have signed up and are in a paid status.
